It looks as if Best Buy has no plans to stop printing ads featuring the HTC Thunderbolt at $299. It has been in ads more than a few times already. Not to mention the price has been leaked at Best Buy more than once. Yet again we have another sighting of the Thunderbolt.

This all comes from Best Buy, but we also have pictures from in-store stands showing the Thunderbolt for $249 on contract also. Until it officially comes out. I guess we wont know what the price really will be set at. If you haven’t seen enough of the ThunderBolt yet, check out this T-Bolt Rooftop Commercial, and again here is our T-Bolt Hands-On. We will be sure to update if we find out any other solid details on pricing.

Note: It’s listed as $299 in the ads, yet $249 in store. I don’t think Best Buy stores know any more than we do.

  1. Verizon just keeps dropping the ball. WTF. $299.00 when and if the tb comes out. This just adds insult to injury. This phone is already becoming a bust and it has not even been f’n released. Verizon will lower the price of this phoneby $100.00 before the summer even starts. What a marketing disaster. Wow! It is only going to get worse. I have been dead on thus far.

    • First of all, how do you know it’s Verizon and not a delay by HTC? You don’t. We’ve all heard rumors about battery live and company politics; noone knows why it’s late except Verizon and HTC.

Second, the phone isn’t “becoming a bust”, it’s just later than we all hoped for. My irritation with the delay isn’t making me walk away from what will be the best phone available when it hits store, it just makes me want it more.

Third, the fact that tons of people are freaking out because they can’t get your phone soon enough isn’t exactly a “marketing disaster”. Half the posts here are basically saying “who cares about an extra fifty bucks, get me this phone NOW”. You might want to take a marketing class.
