Ever since HTC acquired Beats Audio we’ve been hearing bits of information regarding upcoming devices from HTC with the new audio goodness inside, and this is one more we can add to the list. The HTC Rezound just received its DLNA certification today but I did want to mention it being listed as a “mobile digital media player”. Most likely this is still a smartphone but I just wanted to throw that in there.

Who’s ready for some hip hop? Or classical if you prefer. You could even soon be listening to your choice of music with the new Beats Wireless for mobile headphones we saw a few days back on a new special edition HTC Sensation 2 with Beats Audio integration. These are just a few of the many plans HTC has now they have partnered with Beats Audio. We can expect the Beats technology and accessories to start showing up more and more.

We also saw some recent HTC trademarks such as the HTC Rhyme that will also most likely have some strong musical talents. At first we will probably see a few big name phones but I’m expecting most if not all HTC devices in the future will have Beats Audio.

Sadly, apart from the DLNA certification we don’t have any further details on the HTC Rezound (resound, sound-off) but knowing recent trends I’m sure we’ll see more pop up soon enough so stay tuned for more details.

  1. Ok, bad choice of words. Since when does “investing” and “acquiring” mean the same thing? HTC did not acquire Beats, it invested 300 million in the company.
