T-Mobile has the HTC One available, however those making a purchase direct from the carrier will be doing so under the new UNcarrier approach. Basically, that is to say you will be getting the One with an initial downpayment and 24 additional monthly payments. The UNcarrier set up includes the newer Simple Choice Plans, however we suspect some may still prefer the Classic plans.

That being the case, your option will be to grab the handset from Best Buy. The retailer has the HTC One priced at $299.99 on a two-year agreement. Those choosing this route will be getting the handset on the Classic plan (which is still available for individuals and families). The Best Buy option to keep your Classic plan may be good for those looking to upgrade, however it may be less expensive for new users to go direct to T-Mobile.

Just for comparison, the Simple Choice Plan is $50 per month for unlimited talk, text and data with an additional 500MB of high-speed data thrown in. The monthly payments for the handset would bump that up to $70 per month, however pricing this out on the Best Buy website shows a Classic plan with unlimited talk and text with 500MB of data as being $60.

Despite that being $10 less per month, going with T-Mobile will only have you paying $99.99 at the time of purchase as opposed to $299.99. For many, we suspect that lower initial outlay will be the way to go. But regardless of which route you choose, we suppose it is nice to have the different options available
