The HTC One Max has leaked several times over the past few weeks, and at this point it’s no secret that HTC has a massive device coming soon to compete with Samsung and others. The specs and 5.9-inch screen have all but been confirmed at this point, and today’s leak is giving us a better idea of what to expect in a size comparison sitting next to the Galaxy Note II and the new Note 3.

If you had any doubt, that image above and a few more below should tell you everything you needed to know. The HTC One Max smartphone “phablet” will be massive. It’s quite a bit bigger than the Galaxy Note 3 with a 5.7-inch display, which is likely due to the bigger bezels and those front facing speakers. We bet they’ll sound awesome though.

If these pictures are legit, it’s our first comparison next to a few well known devices, and just proves how over-sized this phone will really be. The images don’t reveal much for specs, but we’re already expecting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a quad-core Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM, that UltraPixel camera, and a 3,300 mAh battery. This latest set does give us a nice view of that fingerprint scanner though.

Lastly, the images appear to show a quick run of the AnTuTu benchmark, which comes in scoring around 26,400. This score is in line with other 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core devices, and not the Snapdragon 800 we hoped for. This also means it won’t have the older and aging S4 Pro like some false rumors last week, so don’t get out the pitchforks just yet.

We should be learning more any day now from HTC. At least we’d like to think so. Will you get this device? I’d take a GPe one on Verizon.

  1. It’s tall, but the lock button on the side makes up for this, and it’s in a more nokia style placement so it wont have that samsung issue of pressing the volume buttons when locking.
Also it looks to be the same width if not less wide than the Note 3 so that’s a huge plus! But lacking the 800 I’ll have to save my money and wait for next years flagship unfortunately…

  2. GPe On Verizon? I wouldn’t go near VZW w a ten foot pole. But I have a One GPe on TMobile unlimited-everything LTE in NYC and couldn’t be happier. Wouldn’t trade it for anything presently on the market.

  3. having read the spec dimensions for the HTC One Max it shows it as being shorter and not as wide as the Note 3 dimensions, but all the recent images on the internet show it as being much bigger. This seems a bit strange to me?
HTC One Max – LxWxT – 144.5×70.5×10.6 mm
    Note 3 – LxWxT – 151.2×79.2×8.3 mm

Only difference is Note 3 is 2mm thinner
