The shiny new gadget may be the HTC One (M8), but that isn’t to say the previous model shouldn’t be considered. The 2013 model year HTC One is still a rather capable handset, and thanks to a limited time offer with Best Buy — it is currently selling with an attractive price point.

Best Buy has the AT&T and Verizon Wireless models selling for $1. That price does mean you will be buying into a two-year agreement, but the fact of the matter is — sometimes price has to come first. The HTC One (M7) hardware may not be the latest and greatest at this point, but on the plus side we have seen HTC rolling out software updates.

The AT&T model is available in silver, black or blue and the Verizon model is available in silver or blue. As a recap, the HTC One (M7) feature set includes a 4.7-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Looking towards the HTC One (M8) and both carriers currently have it priced at $199.99. Worth mentioning is a Best Buy deal on the Verizon One (M8). The handset is currently available (from Best Buy) for $149.99 on a two-year agreement.

Those shopping on a strict budget may be looking to the HTC One (M7), and for good reason. We suspect those not as concerned with the initial purchase price may still be trying to decide whether to grab the M8 or M7 though.
