As promised by HTC USA President Jason Mackenzie, the developer edition of its current flagship will be receiving a major update sometime this week. That day seems to have finally arrived as HTC One Developer Edition devices start getting updated to the latest Android 4.3 version.
It’s been quite some time now since it was announced and there have been quite a number of new smartphones that have come out since then, so it would be understandable if people have briefly forgotten about this device. To recap the specs, the HTC One runs on a previous generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 with clock speeds of 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It’s 4.7-inch display supports a resolution of 1080×1920 and has a 4 megapixel rear camera that is capable of recording 1080p videos. HTC, fortunately, hasn’t forgotten about the One and has promised to deliver an updated Android 4.3 experience along with the latest Sense 5 custom interface. Almost immediately, we heard reports of the update reaching HTC One owners in Taiwan. Today, though, the intended Developer Edition targets are finally receiving the promised update, although, as always, not all owners might be getting it all at the same time.
It still remains a kind of mystery where the rumored HTC One Max, which was expected to make its debut early this month, has ended up. And while HTC has seemingly forgotten about the giant phablet it was supposed to announce, it’s reassuring to see that it hasn’t abandoned its top-tier device yet.

Developer options seem to have been removed from the settings menu altogether after the update. This does not, however, impede in my overall usage of this phone abeit having ‘developers’ as part of the name…
You can activate it in the same was as an AOSP phone.
Oh I know and thanks for replying. It just seems like a nagging loss. That’s all. If you do want to reactivate it, however, all you got to do is tap a couple times on build number in the ‘About Phone’ section.
Previous Generation processor = a processor that was released this year and the same processor as the galaxy s4. So will be interesting to see if it is described this was when you write an article on Samsung updating their devices to android version 4.3…. Because as far as I am aware. This is the first device to get the update from a previous version of android to 4.3… fair play to htc for getting this out so fast! B-)

So, Anyone Else Want to Know WTF the “N” Icon on the status bar is all about?
Already Another thing I DO NOT LIKE Is that the “Speak” App Automatically Starts when in Car Mode.
The N is for NFC. To disable: settings / more / uncheck NFC
