When you’ve got a phone that, for all intents and purposes, is pretty much a giant screen, there’s something in the back of your head that’s got to constantly worry about scratching it. You wouldn’t want anything to happen to that beautiful piece of gadgetry, now would you? Well, lucky for the rest of us, who might forget a penny or two in the same pocket we put our device in, it looks like the EVO 4G from Sprint can take quite a beating. Or, scratching, to be more accurate.

A member of Android Central’s forum, Roman G, had an EVO that he was already sending back to Sprint due to some other physical problem, and so he figured that he would go ahead and put his unit through its paces. After all, scratch tests are pretty common place for touchscreens, so why wouldn’t the phone with the biggest touchscreen in the United States (alongside the HD2, of course), be tested? We’ll leave it up to the video to not ruin the surprise, but we’ll say this: we’re shocked at how much this screen can take. Gander the video below.
