Anyone that is excited for the new HTC EVO 4G LTE should know plenty about the “situation” by now for the smartphone. After initially set to launch last week the phones were delayed at customs thanks to a petty lawsuit from Apple. Multiple reports have since claimed the phones start shipping today, May 24th, but now it looks like many pre-order customers have already received their new phones.

According to Android Police multiple customers have already received their new HTC EVO’s today and are enjoying those 3G speeds until 4G LTE arrives from the Now Network. Early reports suggested Best buy would start shipping to pre-order customers yesterday, so these could just be a lucky few that opted for overnight shipping.

It looks like a bunch of threads appearing on XDA have confirmed the phone arriving early for users in multiple locations from Ohio to New York. If you ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE with overnight delivery you might have a little treat waiting on the doorstep this afternoon. If you’re still debating the purchase you’ll want to check out our full EVO 4G LTE Review for additional details of the new smartphone.

  1. Best Buy Brighton Michigan called me at about noon. I picked mine up at about 1pm. Very impressive phone in the 4 minutes that we have been together. I think we will have a great relationship.

  2. I received and email from BB in Topeka, KS letting me know that mine is ready for pick up then received a phone call from BB letting me know that they didn’t get enough in their shipment for all pre orders….. but they also don’t know when the next shipment will be in…. 🙁

  3. Just got mine from best buy mobile in mooresville nc! GOT THE PHONE FOR FREE with upgrade! they give me 100 dollars for my old evo! 50 dollars for preordering it and 50 dollars cause i registered my number with the phone freedom deal! = FREE PHONE!

  4. Anyone in Oregon (Eugene/Springfield/Portland) get one? No calls from Sprint or BB for me. I had them ordered at both.

  5. I’m a best buy employee as soon as word spread this morning that the preorders were coming in I couldn’t believe guess preordering has its perks after all but anywho the phone is AMAZING I absolutely love it & the camera is the best part 🙂

  6. Just got my call from Best Buy, come and get it! $50 gift card too and $50 gift card for old evo to new evo upgrade, plus evo 3d trade in , good deals at best buy! California

  7. I was the first person to get my pre-ordered Evo 4g LTE at the Best Buy in town. It took awhile since I was the first one and the process was a little confusing. I am thrilled with the phone so far and excited to take some pictures tomorrow.

  8. Mine arrived via UPS today, I haven’t turned it on yet, hate to loose my wimpy 4G of the evo but charged it up. It feels great if that is any indication.

  9. Who cares. Dumped Sprint for Verizon. I have the Motorola Razr Max with 4G unlike the Evo 4G I bought a year ago only to be told last month that my area although was supposed to get WiMax 4G, I was now told I wouldn’t bee getting LTE anytime soon. Sprint’s 3G went to S*** the second the iPhone was released. Good luck finding anywhere that has 4G anytime in the near future. HTC has great hardware, but not if you’re stuck with Sprint’s crappy 3G. This is coming from a 12 year NEXTEL/Sprint vetetan.

  10. Pretty irritated with Sprint. Our company uses Sprint as our carrier and we are pretty decent as far the size of the company. We pre-ordered several of these new EVO’s through our rep and have yet to see one. We can’t even get a tracking number or a solid answer as to when they will arrive. We were also supposed to get 4g in the area last year. Now it will be years before we get lte. Yet, my wife who is also with Sprint because of the company discount has to pay the “4G” fee, an extra 10 dollars a month for the service that we will never have now.

    • Before you get too irrate with Sprint, you should realize that you have two different issues going on here. One, I think, you must have missed the news that ALL EVO 4G LTE were delayed in Customs. NOT SPRINT’S FAULT. Blame Apple and thier pension for being bullies. Many handsets are arriving today. Some will be arriving in the next few days.

Also, not all 4G is created equal. The 4G on this phone is a different technology than the current 4G in place in Sprint’s network for your old EVO. Lookup things like 4G wi-Max and 4G LTE… they are VERY different. Once the new LTE gets rolled out life will be SUPER sweet, patience is a virtue posessed by too few.

  11. Received mines yesterday 5/24. Sprint pre-order, Dallas, TX.
Old HTC EVO 4G died 2 hours before delivery.
New HTC EVO 4G LTE up and running great… no issues

  12. Received mine last night at Best Buy! It was a great experience. Plus I got my 50.00 gift card which I turned around today and bought a great case and shield .Received an addition 20% off those products because I purchased my phone from BB. Dan even came out to my car and made sure I had no problems with my bluetooth connection.
