The HTC Desire HD looks to be ready for its close-up now, with both images and video of the new Android smartphone leaking out ahead of an official launch.  Uwants caught an in-the-wild shot of the Desire HD running Android 2.2 with HTC Sense, while 247Android went one better and shot a video of the handset.

The Desire HD has a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera, dual LED flash and can record 720p HD video, and also shows a somewhat new, angular design language for HTC.
