HTC quietly unveiled another Desire branded handset earlier this morning. The handset, the HTC Desire 310 made a brief appearance on the European HTC page and was listed as bringing a quad-core MediaTek processor with 4.5-inch display. Getting a bit more specific, the processor is an MT6582M at 1.3GHz and the display is sporting a resolution of 854 x 480.

The page listed a complete set of specs, and even had the handset shown in two colors, however there has yet to be any announcement in terms of pricing or availability. As for those colors, as you’ll see from the image sitting above — those include black and white. Other specs include a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA quality front-facing camera.

The Desire 310 also has 4GB of internal storage, a microSD memory card slot, 512MB of RAM and a 2000 mAh battery. Otherwise, those considering a purchase would be looking at a handset running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and with measurements of 131.44 x 68.03 x 11.25mm. The Desire 310 weighs in at 140 grams. Simply put, HTC has the Desire 310 sitting firmly in the mid-to-low end spectrum.

Touching back on the news of this unveil. The Desire 310 did make a brief appearance with HTC. Or in other words, while we cannot necessarily consider this a full and proper announcement, given the source of the sighting, we can trust the specs are accurate. And as we have seen with the Desire line in the past, we would expect this new 310 model to arrive with a price to match those specs.
