Today I have a little treat for you all to cap off the day. This is a beautiful and extremely well designed concept phone from an XDA member by the name of Jason Wang. He is not one of the very well known concept designers but I have a feeling after everyone starts to see this latest creation he will be. This is about as clean and elegant as a phone could come.

From Jason himself he says this concept aims to enhance existing HTC design elements to create a device with beautiful design and a hallmark smartphone function. With a two piece aluminum casing, and current generation parts this design is feasible. Instead of some Glossy black phone with no bezels that anyone can think up. He wanted something nicer, smarter, and more elegant. This definitely hits his mark.

Obviously this is just a concept phone, we probably will never see it but possible something close. It features a 4.0″ AMOLED Display, 1.2 Ghz OMAP 4 CPU, 16GB Storage with 1GB RAM, removable 1,700 mah battery. All sounds nice and like what is already out. He’s just made it better. He has tons of information and pictures for everyone to check out. I’ll post them and link to see all the photos below for your viewing pleasure. What do you all think? Do you like the design, or want an aluminum phone? I think it looks great.

  1. That looks GREAT!!!

However there might be a problem with the antenna being behind all that aluminum.

Personally I just like the clean nature of the front. . . keep all that dead space away from me. Make the front as much LCD as possible.

    • I completely agree. The only other thing I see wrong is that HTC uses the capacitive button setup of (from left to right): Home, Menu, Back and Search. Other than these two aspects, I’d buy this phone. Also, to make it more technology proof, it would need a Dual-core CPU and maybe the HDMI/micro USB port that the EVO 3D has, if not a separate HDMI port. A flush, dedicated camera button in a practical place would rock as well. I have to say, though, that I love the concept of the cassette style loading of the removable pieces. Great idea.

  2. Looks amazing, though all that text on the back takes away a little from the otherwise very stylish and elegant appearance of the device. But as for all the components being out there already…. a 16.41 MP camera?
Also not so sure if all of these components (especially a 1700mAh battery) could fit into a device only 9.1 mm thick at present (possibly sometime in the future though).

  3. Absolutely gorgeous design. Needs notification LED. I absolutely could not live without mine. Other than that this would be a perfect phone.
