HTC Bravo 1GHz Android Confirmed on the Leaked HTC 2010 Roadmap

08 December 2009 by Juventino Quinones

Thanks to the folks over at xda-developers, we now know that there are indeed more Android phones coming from HTC. As you might remember, there were some clues on the upcoming devices from HTC on the recently leaked Android 2.1 ROM that we saw running on an HTC Hero.

Some of the devices that will run Google’s free Mobile OS are, the Legend, Salsa (With QWERTY keyboard), Bravo (not the Passion and/or Dragon), Tide and the Buzz. Out of all this upcoming phones, the Android-based HTC Bravo is the one giving us something great to talk about.

Apparently, it will pack the same 1GHz Snapdragon processor as the HTC HD2, and it will be able to capture HD 720p video. The Bravo will also have a nice 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen. SlashGear contacted HTC to comment, but unsurprisingly they did not want to confirm anything. They only said:

We cannot comment on speculation or rumour, but we’re excited about our upcoming roadmap and encourage you to watch this space.

  3. looks like us tmobile customers are gonna have sum tough decisions to make when this, the x10 and the n900 drop. personally um getting the n900, was gonna get the x10 but um sure this will be rooted real quick and have the xda support
  4. i dont like the keyboard on the n900

what kind of phone has a 3 row keyboard?
  5. it does suck, i just want maemo n a front cam, it has 3 processors 2.
  6. Holy hell... I might actually decide to go with a phone without a physical keyboard to get this. Those specs are monstrous...

I just like different versions of Linux, I'll always have an Android phone.

Its like super open source. It sounds good on paper but the thought of apps not having to pass through any type of regulation standards makes me kind of uneasy.

Also the screen is resistive. This is what I have in my Windows mobile phones. Why would Nokia not use Capacitive Touch.
  15. Still don't understand why the limitation of 512MB ROM. This is identical to the MT3G. Unless this thing can get some type of APP2SD going, that's going to frustrate folks just as the Droid has frustrated them. I like the additional RAM, though it should be closer to 512 or even 1024MB.
  16. When you guys say N900 you mean this one right? If so, IM GAME!

I read somewhere that the RAM might be 512, that would be sweet.

It is resistive but judging from every demo and vid I seen it is just as responsive as any capacitive phone.

it cost an arm not a leg, I have found many great deals from 350 to 420
  20. Think about the company Nokia though. Nokia is based in Finland, not exactly known for a warm climate. Capicitive, im learning first hand, sucks in the cold winter. What good is my big beautiful touchscreen if i cant use it because im wearing a glove? The G1 and my iPod touch suck to use with gloves. The iPod becomes just a useless paperweight and the G1 i can at least use the trackball. I'm going to have to shop for a stylus that works with capicitive for the winter... I think thats why Nokia shys away from capicitive. With the new resistive screens, you dont really need capicitive. Even with both my mobile devices being multitouch, i never use that feature. I think multitouch is over rated.

ok, and what about the other billion or so consumers who live around the world that don't live in freezing cold environments? u really think a company as big as Nokia would make the decision for res. or cap. screens because they wanna appeal only to the cold temperature environment?? If so, that would seem like a pretty bad business decision to me.
