HP’s New Snapdragon Laptop

12 February 2010 by David Junior

The Compaq Airlife 100 is HP’s latest Android offering. This laptop will be released to select countries starting this spring. This laptop will be packed full of options.

This 10.1 inch ultraportable laptop will host a slew of features including:

• 3G connectivity
• Optional touch screen
• WiFi(b/g/n)
• 16 GB SSD Hard Drive
• SD card slot
• 12 hours of use and 10 days standby
• GPS
• WebCam
• Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon Processor

There is currently no price set for this laptop but expect it to be around $350. This will fit right in with the other small laptops and the addition of Android will make this an attractive buy for us Android fans. Hopefully, HP will make an announcement with more information at the MWC this weekend.

  9. Now this may be a game changer ... I do not need a laptop currently BUT my phone serves as communication device for conversing only. I use it as a GPS as well... BUT this little keyboarded tablet is just great having android on it... imagine - buzz, wave, voice, etc all Google integration... practically you need somewhat of a normal regular phone for talking - everything else this laptop can handle (no gaming though) ...

Looking forward to see more manufacturers develop something similar...

PS Love GPS idea as well :
  10. Not interested in running android on this thing, but I'd like to see it running a regular linux distro like Ubuntu. That would be sweet. I wonder if that's possible. If so, I would seriously consider buying it.
