Only three months after the Honor 5X budget phone was unveiled in China, Huawei once again showed off the device at the International CES 2016 in Las Vegas this week. The phone is almost ready to take the United States by storm as a stylish yet robust multi-media Internet smartphone that’s great for everyday use. According to Huawei, this Honor 5x is a no-nonsense smartphone that brings great design, accuracy, and reliable imaging despite the low price.

The Honor 5X may be considered as an affordable handset at only $199 but it delivers its promise. It will be available on the 31st of January in gray, silver, and gold variants. Phone will be available online on HiHonor.com/us, Newegg, and Amazon. Honor is a Huawei brand that is meant to be sold online first, making it easier to market and bring to the hands of the eager consumers in the country.

First launched in China, the Honor 5X is being prepped for its first international market. The CES being the launching pad of the latest Honor phone will hopefully attract new fans. Those looking for a new handset may consider this well-designed smartphone that features an aluminum alloy body. The curved design provides a comfortable and ergonomic feel. It boasts of a unique ceramic coating finish that is beautiful.

The Honor 5X also features a fingerprint sensor that is quick to adapt, accurate, and is self-learning. It allows intuitive gesture controls for doing basic phone functions like taking photos, hiding notifications, launching an app, or making a call.

When it comes to imaging, the Honor 5X features a 13 megapixel rear camera with F2.0 aperture, blue glass infrared filter, macro-mode, and a 28mm wide-angle lens. Inside is a SmartImage 3.0 image processor that can capture great photos in low light condition. There’s a 5MP selfie shooter to take great selfies, thanks to the 22mm wide-angle lens, F2.4 aperture, and an 88-degree viewing angle.

Other specs of the Honor 5X include the following: a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 5GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon 615, Octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage, three different card slots (nano-SIM, micro-SIM, and microSD), and a 3000 mAh battery.
