Remember the smarpthone that took 9 hours to make? Well, it’s back. Gresso has put out another series of luxury phones, this time with the new Gresso Radical Black Edition sporting a new PVD coating and an even more expensive price tag.

Actually, nothing much has changed in this edition. Inside, the smartphone is still the same, which basically means low to mid-tier specs. You have a 4.5-inch 960×540 pixel screen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, still an unspecified amount of RAM, 36 GB of internal storage, and an 8 megapixel camera. You’d think Gresso would have taken the time to update Android on this thing, but, alas, it is still running Android 4.1.2. It even has the same Dual SIM feature.

To that extent, you do also get the same luxurious materials and treatment that has made Gresso’s smartphones so exquisitely expensive. That means Titanium-grade case, Titanium sensor keys, a Titanium polished Gresso logo, and the bragging rights to be one of only 100 people who has enough money to buy one. PVD coating, which is used by Swiss watch makers to increase the durability of timepieces, has also been added for extra protection.

What has also been added is a few hundred dollars. Where the first Gresso Radical cost $1,800 last year, this year’s edition starts at $2,500. If you have enough money, you can opt either for the 18K yellow gold or 18K white gold versions, both of which cost $3,000.

  1. 960×540 screen res. What a joke. Laughable. I would really love to meet some of these people that spend this insane amount of money on what about to be outdated tech.
