We could always do with an Android game (or two) for those times “in between”, and you Android users know what I mean. Those times on the bus or train, those lazy Sunday afternoons at home, or while waiting for your date to arrive – we’ve all been there, and we all need some Android games to not go crazy. So here we are, ready to fill your Android gaming needs.

Zombieville USA 2

Just when you think that zombies in pop culture are trending down, another zombie game comes out and you have no choice but to kill the darned things. Zombieville USA 2 is what it is – a side scrolling zombie shooter with no deep backstory whatsoever. All you need are some good old guns to survive wave upon wave of the undead coming your way. You can do it on your own with our own array of weapons and skills, or you can slay the zombies together with your friends. The game is pretty well-made, that’s why the developers feel they should charge you the minimal amount of USD$0.99 to play it.

Pets Unleashed

Here’s something we all have to live with too, movie tie-ins. There will always be games that tie in to a movie – this one specifically for “The Secret Life of Pets”. So EA put out Pets Unleashed, a match 3 game to repetitively put out a reminder that the movie is supposed to be cute and you should watch it. Match 3 games are good for non-committal casual gaming, and you even have to use just a portion of your brain for it. If you want to get a cute match 3 game on your device, try this one out – it’s free to download, with IAPs.

If you’re more of the type who wants to put in some effort and commitment to gaming, then an MMORPG might interest you. Lineage War has all the elements of MMORPG gaming tied down – the endless questing to level up your character and get great gear, PvP battles, clan wars and all that. This means you have to put in a little bit of time to get your character to the required levels. So if this is what you want, you can try Lineage War for free. IAPs are there if you want your character to stand out above the rabble.

Rodeo Stampede

So we get trying to make games unique, and we get genre mashups to make gaming elements fresh and exciting. We’re still baffled by whoever thought of mashing up an endless runner with a park managing game. It’s strange, innit? But that’s Rodeo Stampede: Sky Zoo Safari for you. You have the endless runner element, a process which actually catches animals that you can put in your zoo. Then the park manager in you needs to upgrade your zoo elements to make sure your park earns money. Pretty strange? Yes. But you’re curious as to how this all comes together, right? Try it for free, with IAPs of course.

Satellite Command

Satellite-Coomand-Android-Game

This is the clincher for the week. Satellite Command is a space simulation game – only for Android tablets for now, but a “lite” version for smartphones is in the works – made with Unreal Engine 4, so that promises punchy, vibrant visuals. The game is actually seriously fun – it puts you in control of a company with satellites, and you have to learn the physics of it to make it work. And a perma-death feature will make sure you learn the trade, because if one of your satellites die, that’s permanent. If you have a robust tablet laying around, you may want to try this for USD$4.99.
