Google has a wide range of products and services, ranging from a mobile device platform to a browser to an office suite. Knowing how easy it is to get lost in the forest, Google has set up a new kind of online reference called Google Tips that offers tidbits of knowledge on how to best take advantage of its products.

Here we once again see Google’s design obsession over cards, though in this case it is somewhat a perfect fit. Users visiting the site will be greeted by a wall of cards not unlike index cards. On the front of the card is a summary of the tip and an icon depicting the Google product it covers. Click on the card and it will move forward and flip over to reveal more detailed instructions explained over a slideshow of images.

The tips cover a wide gamut of Google’s offerings, from Android to Chrome to Google+ to even News and Maps. Users can opt to browse through the whole thing or filter by product. There are also categories based on where you are, like at home, in the office, or on the go. At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be any search functionality, though that is likely to come later.

Unsurprisingly, Google Tips has a bit of social networking involved, letting users share those tips via Google+, Twitter, Facebook, or even old-fashioned email. What’s more, Google is accepting suggestions for more tips as well as feedback about the site. Of course, there’s no assurance that your tips and ideas will get implemented, but it might be worth a shot this early in the game.
