As we enter further and further into the digital age we are seeing our devices replace more physical objects. Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt, announced that Android 2.3 will support near-field communication technology that will essentially allow mobile payments.

Bringing mobile payments to phones is definitely the next step forward. We already use our phones to find the nearest deals, get information, and browse the web, so why not have it be the source of our payments?
