Google offers Google Play Store credit for a purchase of Nexus 7 and Chromecast

Who can resist a good promo, especially this time of year? Google knows only too well consumer habits and is now offering a somewhat sweet deal for anyone who purchases both a Nexus 7 2013 edition and a Google Chromecast.

The bundling does make a bit of sense on some level. The Chromecast is, of course, usable by itself and with any Android device. But if you're in the market for a new Android tablet this holiday season anyway, why not make it a Nexus 7, which not only sports topnotch hardware but also has a reasonable price tag attached. Of course, if you were only planning to buy the Chromecast, it would stretch your budget considerably.

Should you choose to do so, there are a few things to keep in mind to avail of the limited time promo. The Nexus 7 and the Chromecast must be purchased in the same transaction in order to qualify. The offer is also only available in the US and buyers must be 13 years old and above, residents of the US, and have a Google Wallet account.

Should you meet all the above requirements, you will receive a $35 Google Play Store credit via email once the full order has shipped. But not only that, the devices will be shipped to you for free, which explains the residency requirement. This bundle offer will be available as long there are supplies, which, given previous Nexus 7 and Chromecast sales, probably isn't much.
