Google Now Hangouts voice messaging

Most of my sci-fi dreams include touchscreens and voice commands. Just by talking to a surface, device, or a hologram, something will happen. Looks like that will become a reality soon as Google finally allowed Google Now to send messages on Hangouts. Yep, this means you can communicate with your family, friends, or colleagues more easily by simply launching Google Now and saying “send a Hangouts message”.

Google Now will ask the contact you want to send a message to, say your message, and then confirm that you already want to send it. This update from Google didn’t get a formal and official announcement from the Internet giant but it’s live as noted by a Redditor known as Sevares. This could be included in the recent Hangouts update that was released earlier this month but maybe we just didn’t notice it.

I’m pretty sure some of you have been waiting for this since the Voice Calls feature on Hangouts was activated. Not that typing a few letters is difficult but voice commands are really cool and seem very futuristic, don’t you think? This could also be just one of the many new features and services Google is bringing to Hangouts especially after the company started to ask users to use it instead of Talk.

With this development, Google must be serious with improving on Hangouts and Google Now. Let’s expect more updates and new features to be introduced by the company in the next few months then.
