If you’ve been frustrated this afternoon with many of Google’s services failing to work, you weren’t alone. This morning Google and many others confirmed that they had an outage causing some issues and a disruption in service for many things like Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar sync and much more. However, the company confirms that service should be fully restored.

All of us Android fans always have a rough time when something like Google sync, Gmail, and Google Now stops working. We received our fair share of comments and tips this morning, but don’t worry folks because everything should be back up and running. I guess the energizer bunny does die on occasion.

According to multiple reports and confirmations by InformationWeek, all of Google’s services should be back up and running as usual. So far we’re still getting the occasional error here with Google Now or Gmail sync, but otherwise everything is working as expected.

We’ve received a few tips that some users aren’t seeing all their mail in Gmail, and months of emails have gone missing. Is anyone else experience this or other issues? Or is everything back to normal for you guys? It sounds like Google put their YODA skills to work and have everything back up and running as expected for now. There’s no report on what caused the outage, but surely Google will prevent it from happening again.
