We have all been traveling at some point and needed to stop at a gas station. Often we are left looking for tall signs on the side of the highway or for signs that point us to a specific exit. If it’s dark or conditions are less than ideal, looking for signs and landmarks to find a station can be difficult.

Google has just released a new card that will make finding a gas station for fuel, snacks, or bathroom breaks much easier. The new card not only finds stations close to you, but those that are on your route. That means you will need to make as little detour as possible.

The information on the card tells you the name of the station, how far away from you it is in miles, and how far of a detour off your route it will be. The card uses the speed you are traveling and the direction to make predictions about where you are going.

The app might not always be correct about where you are going, but drivers can close the card down if it’s not needed. As of now the card isn’t on the official list from Google, it appears to be part of the traffic and navigation card.
