Google+ is pretty cool. I just got in last night thanks to a friend who invited me while they were still available. Unfortunately people were so excited to get in that Google was a bit overwhelmed while they’re just in beta, and had to cut off the invitations. Turns out that theres a pretty sneaky work around that will let people get their friends in, including us. If you requested an invite from us, look for an email!

Google+, Google’s new social sharing/networking project is a bold move, and has a pretty sweet Android app, as one would expect for something from Google. If you want in at the moment though you need an invite. Google was letting users send out invites last night, but then had to stop because so many people wanted in. Its possible though for people to let friends in by using the service to share with them!

If you are one of the lucky few, and looking to get some more friends in your circles follow these simple steps:

1) Add the person’s email to one of your circles

2) Share something with that circle, making sure you’ve checked the option to share via email to the person without Google+

3) That person receives an email with whatever you shared, and a big orange button prompting them to learn more about Google+

4) If they click it they will be prompted to join!

From their enjoy sharing with Circles, video chatting with Hangouts, and explore Google+ and drop us a comment on what you think, is it just another Wave, or is it the future of social?

Thanks Patrick!

I posted on the last article but think, maybe, i didnt get a gmail cuz it’s not in the comments exactly correct for your script to pick up?

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks to Robert B. For attempting to invite me to google+ but this work around isn’t working lol

Shutout to Robert anyway… thanks 🙂

  3. This does not appear to work. I actually just got one of these said emails from a + user and I am not allowed to join. Still says it’s closed for now.

  4. I can’t read every comment on every website.. if you want an invitation, mention me on Twitter with your email and wait. @h0llywood1:twitter

  6. I think the Android heads are gonna control this (Google+) more than anything else. Is it going to replace Facebook… no. Twitter… no. Wait til ICS/Nexus 3 gets a review – Google+ shuts down, lol.

  10. That’s an awfully large number of active email addresses confirmed in this comment thread: anyone want to copy, paste and start spamming to them?

…although I want to get on Google+ myself, I’m not going to post my email address on a public feed – it’s a spammers dream this post!

  11. It’s clear that Google made this invite system to create hype, look at all these people begging for an invite…..

Enjoy tje spa that you’ll recive by the way.

  12. invite please edsterturbo[at]gmail.com. im sick of facebook and the 1000000 like buttons and dumb emo chicks lol.

  13. invite please christhouas(at)gmail.com

And personally i think that Google+ can be a great idea and has the potential to become something huge, but being a young adult im curious to see how they’ll capture my crowds attention and if it’ll be enough to get people from facebook to start using google+

  14. I don’t see an orange button just a red one telling me to get Google on my phone. I add the app and still nothing.

  15. Just got in G+ and tried the share trick but when the people who got the email try the “learn more” button, they just get taken to the “Keep Me Posted” page. Do I need invites to begin with to even try the share trick and where does it tell me if I have any? Or is the cap limit being opened and closed throughout the week?

  16. This workaround does not appear to be working any more.  I had someone try to send me one using this method, I received the email, but the button just takes me to the main landing page, not a signup form.

  17. Same here. I’ve got an email about a post (thx Geet) and I tried both “View post” and “Learn”. The “View” had a join now but that link also lead back to the main page with “keep me posted”.

  18. I got an invite and when I click on it it takes me to the keep me posted page.  Is there something else I need to do?  I even got to the you need to sign in and when I do it takes me to the same page.

  19. IN also requested one earlier but haven’t gotten an email. Would really appreciate it! tedshaffner at gmail.com.

    Thank you.

  21. I was in Vietnam, I’d try Google +, but not yet received an invitation so hope you share my invitations, thank you very much

  22. There really isn’t any logic in the Google+ invitation system.  I have friends who’ve beta tested most of the Google products from Voice to Music, were sent Chromebooks to use for the last 6 months during the beta testing period, etc. and they weren’t even given Google+ invitations.  Its a crap shoot and has very little to do with someone’s past beta testing relationships with Google.

  23. JFYI, Google has enabled INVITE button on everyone’s Google+ account page (who already has Google+ account). I invited at least 30 people yesterday and everyone was able to sign in instantly, no wait, no delays, and what’s most important no hacks. This is the way invites should work! So, go and grab someone who has Google+ and ask for invite. I would invite some more, but not sure if there is any kind of limit, and I still have few more friends/relatives to invite.

  24. Please invite me, been waiting for something other than Facebook…

    Much appreciated, thanks !

  25. I have heard many great things about Google+ and think that I may finally be able to get into the social networking scheme. Reddit tells me this is the way to go. If somebody would send me an invite, I would be much more than joyous. Thank you in advance.

  27. Hello. I hope this method still works, as I am very interested in Google+, which is the *only* social networking site I am interested in. If I was to receive an invite, I would be eternally grateful…
