The Android One program is still alive in emerging markets. We’ve seen a few phones already and the initiative was actually relaunched in India a few months ago. While some Android One devices are already waiting for the Marshmallow update, here’s another option: the GM 5 Plus–the first high specced smartphone under the Android One program.

The GM 5 Plus is a high-end smartphone.  By that we mean with high specs but still with an affordable price. This one is listed below $300 complete with an impressive 5.5-inch FHD display, 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

This is one powerful Android One smartphone. It comes with a metal frame and texture back cover, 4.5 G LTE-A Cat7, 13MP selfie camera, 13MP main camera with Dual Flash, and a 3100 mAh battery. There’s even a USB Type C port and support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The GM 5 Plus runs the basic Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow build.

No word on exact pricing and availability but expect the Android One smartphone won’t go over $300 this month. We’re looking at this GM 5 Plus as more of a mid-range phone even if specs are already impressive. It won’t be sold in the United States but will be ready in Turkey first and then in 15 other countries.
