If you were one of the ones that ran out and bought a Honeycomb tablet when they were first released most likely you love the user interface, but half of the fun for many of us Android users is the ability to change and tweak things to our own liking. If you happen to own the Acer Iconia Tab A500 and would like some of the enhancements that the Samsung Touch Wiz UI for tablets has to offer, you are in luck.

A popular developer over on XDA known as m-deejay has successfully ported the UI over to the A500 and from what I’m seeing it looks great. The Iconia Tab A500 just received the update to 3.1 Honeycomb and now you can spice that up even more.

They still have a few bugs that need to be worked out but aside from those they have added performance enhancements like EXT4 support, Virtuoso CPU scaling scripts, 3G modem support via Huawei USB dongle, and much more with updates coming fast. For more information and plenty of pictures of the port head over to the XDA thread via the source link below. Enjoy and as always make sure you use caution when flashing things of this nature.
