Early rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S7, there were no mention about the battery at all. We would always say it’s still unknown until last week when we heard that the flagship phone will have better battery life and video playback can last up to 17 hours. We’ve been speculating that it won’t be far from last year’s battery. We’re thinking anything between 3000 to 3500mAh battery for the s7 or even bigger at 3,600mAh for the S7 Edge.

A recent FCC filing tells us that the S7 Edge will be powered by a 3600mAh battery. We’re right again according to a screenshot that shows the FCC ID A3LSMG935KOR and the battery size. No other details were included. There’s not even any similar screenshot to confirm the Galaxy S7’s battery.

The Galaxy S6 Edge’s battery is currently 2,600mAh so the 3,600mAh is a quite a bump. It may not be the highest capacity phone since there are a few models with 4000 mAh already but the Galaxy S7 Edge’s battery is one of the biggest used in the market today. It may not beat the Huawei Enjoy 5, Acer Liquid X2, Galaxy A9, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 but the huge battery will be much appreciated.

Rumored specs of the S7 Edge include the following: 5.5-inch screen, 4GB RAM, 32GB or 764GB internal storage,  Exynos 8 Octa 8890 or Snapdragon 820 chipset, 5MP/8MP front-facing camera, 12MP main camera, and a microSD card slot.
