The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has been spied making a run at the AnTuTu benchmark program and in its wake are details about the hardware that will be inside the device when it launches. We are all expecting big things from the next Galaxy S device and if the benchmarks are real, big things are in store performance wise.

The version of the Galaxy S6 Edge that ran the benchmark suite was carrying model number SM-G925W8. The specs show that the smartphone has an octa-core Exynos 7420processor and an ARM Mali-T760 GPU.

The device has a 5.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and 576ppi. The smartphone also boasts 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 20MP rear camera. The front camera on the smartphone is a 5MP unit. The Galaxy S6 Edge was able to set a record score on AnTuTu of 60,978.

You can check out the benchmark screenshot here and note how well the new smartphone does on 3D objects visualization. It performs much better than devices with the previous Exynos processor. We expect the Galaxy S6 Edge to get official on March 1 and we are on the lookout for more details on the Galaxy S6 Edge.
