Samsung Galaxy S III owners on the Three network in the UK are getting some awesome news today. They will be able to upgrade to their devices from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean. This means that they will be able to take advantage of the awesome new features of Jelly Bean as soon as they download the new update.

Three has the update available over the air to its users. If you are on Three and have automatic updates enabled, then your phone will let you know when the update is ready for you to download. If you do not have automatic updates enabled, you will need to enable it on your device to get Jelly Bean. Three offers a guide for enabling the feature if you are unsure of how to do it.

Three reminds everyone that downloading the update will use data, so if your data plan is running low, you might want to wait until you are connected to Wi-Fi to perform the update. Three also notes that if you did not purchase your Galaxy S III from Three, it might take a little longer for your phone to update. Either way, this is definitely some great news for S III owners.

Some notable features Three users with Galaxy S III owners will get with Jelly Bean is Project Butter, which helps improve overall speed of the device. It also included Google Now, which helps your phone get to know you better and provide the information you need. S III owners on Three, stop reading and get to updating your phone. As for the rest of us, we shall have wait a while longer, but Samsung has confirmed that we will get Jelly Bean relatively soon.
