hey simms, whats up man. just curious if you could answer a quick question. Amon Ra's Recovery v1.2.3 you have the option to do a wipe dalvik-cache on SD not /data. What exactly does this option do if you apply it? I mean what exactly is dalvik cache do you need it? Am I allowed apply the "wipe dalvik-cache option" and my phone will still be alright?

hi simms! it seems that you're the one that can help me, I'm going to use the guide on your signature to root my G1. my question is, can I take it slowly? i mean the steps. because I don't have wifi on our place and on the rooting part I need to DL the telnet client trough market, Can I root w/o getting being connected online(phone)?

any STEP by STEP guides on how to apply the steps on the Ramon's RA recovery to start fresh on wiping a SD card &then partitioning it? i got a 8GB memory card but i'm not sure if i partitioned it right the first time, it does show a primary storage &secondary storage but i'm still iffy on my procedure, it was my first time. I want to wipe my SD, reformat, 8GB memory card so 512MB to EXT2? then eventually EXT3/4? &the rest FAT32 i think thats right. All i know is that 512MB for EXT2/3/4/ should be more than enough i could have up to 500APPS &probably still not fill up the space. Help? I realized that all the zip's &folders data etc is on the SD CARD so if i power down &then HOME+END to go to recovery &the Amon Ra's recovery loads up &i choose the WIPE SD what then happens to my data i lose everything, can't i sort of be fckd if i don't do the steps correctly? Sort of scared. Help?

Lol Sims to VM me back you have to click on my profile and yea I know I was pretty civil about it cause I've been a polite guy around these boards.
I'm kinda tired of Cyans builds slaughtering my battery and I've used "Battery Graph" to map it and its sooo bad.

I want to flash back down to a jf build how would I do this with my apps on my sd?
