Kaziko, I am considering buying a G1 but I had a question/concern. A few years ago when the MDA first came out I bought it and was unhappy with the AIM because it used SMS for each sent and received instant message. Not only does this make conversations take FOREVER, but it obviously makes a used go through their text messages quickly. I now have a sidekick and I am much happier with the AIM because it does not use the same method as the MDA and thus is much faster and the messages are actually "instant." My questions are which method does the AIM on the G1 use? Is this method actually instant? and If it does use the SMS method, is there room for a developer to develop an application which incorporates an AIM that does not use the SMS method, or does one already exist?
