To get this thing started, I'm Prash, was a sidekick user since B&W sidekick days, made themes for sk3, slide, 08 and LX (and still do sometimes) and now moved on from Danger land hoping G1 fills that gap reasonablly well.

I've owned the sk2, sk3, slide, LX and 08. I currently still have the 08 - mainly because I have so many different shells for it. I love my G1, however, and can't imagine going back to the sidekick,
used to have an sk3, now I have a G1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick Tip: Miss the easy soft-reboot you used to do with the sidekicks? (1-@-0), You can do the same thing with call button+menu button+end button (green+menu+red)
formally lx user i do miss my lx i guess i feel like i grew up a bit got a g 1 however i do miss the themes on the sk also should change the group to sk outkast because once danger forum found out i switch they abandon me lol hit me up if you like to chat wmscott2k8
I do miss my LX as well but this phone has a lot of promise but i still seem to find myself pressing shift-m and having it not send my texts :/ I can't wait for the Q1 upgrades next year for this phone though. That will make selling my lx worth it.
Quick Tip: If you want your AIM to stay connected longer, do not put the G1 in sleep mode. Sleep mode causes some sort of connection drops, and you don't get the messages until you take it out of sleep mode anyway so just leave it off and you'll see better AIM connectivity (I suppose this works with other messengers as well)

People may already know this one but.. Quick Tip: Some updated apps are not automatically listed on top when you sort by date on the market app. To make sure you have the latest version of apps, periodically check "my downloads" section and if the app you have installed says 'free' instead of 'installed' next to it, it means there is an upgrade available. (Some uninstalled apps are also listed in this section, so only update the ones you know you have and use.)
