also, if the subject is something like "snow" it cant be a picture out of a magazine that you took a picture of. You have to get creative. What do you think?
This is a fantastic idea! Though I won't have my phone until sometime in November (besides, I'm waiting for something WAY better in November ), I'm really interested in seeing what everyone can come up with. I'd suggest the following things to hunt for: mullets (a classic), robots, old vw beetles, halloween costumes (appropriate for this month), odd couples and "one of these things is not like the others".
Hi! This seems like a great place to talk about photography and share pictures! Shame the G1 only have a 3.2 megapixel camera...but it ain't bad. Need to try it out I hope to have my G1 by tomorrow.
yeah i agree with PixelHenge. But are you saying everything in on tuesday for the week? I would be down to start next week.
Hi Scrye! Thanks for joining! And to everyone else too! Ok, then... tuesday it is. Ill make the post including all the rules and outline and send everyone here the link. Ill keep checking till then though to make sure that if no one has had other suggestions. Got any more ideas for what to scavenge?? post it here. Ya, and pete knows.. but i may not get to participate in this first one, got a bricked g1 in my hands waiting to get replaced.
Most all of those ideas work well, except I know personally I'll be more involved if I could upload directly from the phone, and I don't think i'd be alone there so perhaps we should do picasa or photobucket uploads like estaked said.
I was just thinking here because that way people can easily access your other photos involved in the hunt, plus i think the mods here prefer photos not being linked or posted from elsewhere. and a lot of people (like me) don't have picasa accounts ... I do have photo bucket, but if we are going to use outside galleries i guess it wouldn't matter. Tell you what, ill PM either refused or Vincent on it and see what they would prefer as i don't want to step on anyone's toes here. Also, SORRY GUYS. Its been a super busy week here, and i haven't had a chance to get any work done on this. Would Wednesday evening midnight be OK? provided i hear from one of the head androids with the ok?
Oh, was also thinking, that since this scavenger hunt would be mostly just to show off what we could give people who won the next week with votes is maybe like a custom sig logo, you can post it in your sig and if you get it multiple times you could post the number next to the logo in your sigs? Like a badge... What do you think? I can design it... ideas?

Nope, no zoom hopefully someone will make something like snapture on the iphone but for the g1- its the camera app but with extra zoom, resize, color and continuious shooting options. Oh, i havent heard back from vincent yet- but i did write him asking for permission on this. Hang in there, ill update when i know more.
