if you use astro to navigate your sd card then there should be a folder called "download" where all your downloads go
I have tried to download a .MP3 from a website. The file downloads, shows up in my download history and even shows up in the android system list as a file i can use as a ringtone. My problem is that I don't want the file anymore and I cant find the directory it went to to delete it. Furthermore, if I were to want the file but just want to move it or send i to someone else I cant find the pesky thing. So, does anyone know the directory the browser would put things into?

I thought the same thing, however it isn't there and even if I pull the sd card out the song still shows up on my list of ringtone options so it has to be on the phone somewhere.
What did you use to download the mp3?
Check your "notifications" folder and "media" folder if you have them.
