What wasn't a big deal@ first is now annoying you s***less about the G1?

It is the miniUSB audio output. EASILY

I mean, at first it worked GREAT! Play my music on phone, listen to my home Streamcast server via StreamFurious, phone call comes in I can hear person nicely and they can hear me.

But however, this is in the first 4 months with the phone. It was all good just a week ago</Jigga> because now the person on the receiving end is getting static out the ASS. After testing it with a couple other phones it seems that the static is DIRECTLY related to the mini USB plug connection to the phone! WTFF?

Like wtf HTC? Then you gonna subject people to this same eventual wear & tear with the G2? Due to my pervious experience of devices who's mini USB connection wears out over span of a year I'm pretty terrified of this being a tell tale sign of possible bad things to come and will have to consider not using this as a music player until Cupcake comes around (bluetooth stereo can not get here fast enough!!).

Sooooooo yea, what else have grew to annoy you about the G1?

1. Bad calendar app with minifont in dayview
2. Uninstalled apps reinstall random, sometimes overnight
3. POP3 mail accounts can't mark message as "read" after next start all messages are "unread" again
4. In Netherlands you still can't buy apps, no one knows when and more and more apps are becoming paid apps.

Can't download ANY document you choose through email ON THE PHONE. (K9 doesn't work)...

Bluetooth useless for file transfer...

Email does NOT work (despite an email -- that wouldn't load on my phone, btw, from TMo announcing that their email program now worked).

Phone -- as with the iPhone -- still a toy, not a serous business tool.

not being able to put apps on the SD is silly

no MS exchange support is a major oversight, but at least theress a good app to so this now (just sucks that its costs $25.00 - but it does work well)

Mine floats fine, I hear there was an issue with the bronze and whites ones floating however. If yours is black I'd take it back to t-mo

Well, here's my annoyances:

- Poor filtering of the Android Market (now we see themes which have no relevance if you don't have the required parent app)
- Poor market ratings system, which doesn't take into account the ratings value over time (it should be like digg, where if you submitted a rating 5 months ago and updates have been made, the weight shouldn't affect the overall value as much)
- Lots of poor apps made, most which weren't designed around the fact that phones != computer in terms of memory and cpu power (looking at you Plusmo). Then there's also apps made which don't follow Android UI conventions.
- Poor camera, but it's a cell phone.
