ust got an invite to GOOGLE VOICE whats it about?

Basically it is a number that connects to you. You can link as many numbers as you want to the Google Voice Number. People call the google voice number and all your phones will ring (assuming you set it up like that). Also you can filter out the people you want to contact you. Say there is someone you do not like and you don't want your phone to ring when that person calls, when they have your google voice number and when they call, google voice will automatically forward that number to the google voice mail. And other great features... I got the invite yesterday when I asked for an invite awhile ago. And I love it

Today in the market some widget was released and it explained twice how to launch a widget in the description and the first comment I read
"Does no launch"

Is there no hope?
I wish I could slap people through the phone sometimes I really do.
And how do you even use your Android this far in without knowing how to install a widget?

Haha I dunno how this is related to google voice but... I totally AGREE! I'm like.. are you retarded? And usually people who ask that doesn't speak proper English either... USUALLY... or they don't know how to read... I think we can safely assume they don't know how to read english...

basically its a huge call forward. except, they directly call the "forward" number.

i saw the vids and read some stuff on line including here but still had some espeically the giving of a number do they just give you any random number or are the numbers at least similar to the area your at

my cellphone area code starts with 973, will the number they give me be a 973 # or just any random number


and also when i get this new # i give it to someone they call me how is my phone gong to recognize the call or is that in the setup?
