tracking number generates randomly.. the reference number will probably be your order/conformation number or from what i keep hearing, phone number. From what a rep told me, we'll have our tracking numbers on the 20th.

I've done many T-Mobile upgrades over the years, including quite a few pre-order situations. The way to track the package has ALWAYS been (and is posted to be in the G1 FAQ from T-Mobile) your 10 digit mobile number with the dashes included. You track it by REFERENCE number, not tracking number.

You will not call UPS or T-Mobile to get a tracking number, you will track it by reference using your phone number formatted correctly.

Realistically, I will not be able to take the day off from work on the 22nd, so I will be doing everything I can to get home early in anticipation of beating the upsman. Now, what if he beats me? Can I put a signed note on my door for him to drop it off anyway? I'm cool with that. I may also talk to my neighbors to see who will be home, but I do know that sometimes they won't go for the note-on-the-door trick and sometimes they do, it just depends on how it is shipped, I guess.

I just checked my tracking information and it's all there. I did see that although it shipped today, the 15th, it is not scheduled to arrived until the 21st. I thought they were being shipped via 3-day UPS; this would put it on either the 18th or 20th. I know it's only day's, but I can't wait!

Anyone else getting a rescheduled delivery? (FYI, I live in Seattle WA)

This works for me. Thanks bro! It shows my battery is delivered, I went on vacation the day before. The rep told me it will take 7-14 biz days but they shipped it "3 days".
