Well I hadn't really used gmail until like after my update before that used it once no real reason so this might just be lack of observation on my part but I think along with the new usb function and security patch it also added a signature to the emails and bbc and stuff.... That might have been there before idk hope I helped

The only thing I know of that is tangible, is the USB function. I'm pretty sure those email functions that orokukarisawa mentioned were already there... and the security udates aren't really visible.
