need some advisements about my Project

Hi everyone there,
I am just a newbie for android programming.
Now, I am working on a project that includes displaying color of gPhone.
Could anyboy tell me? How can I get a H/W device displaying color in the different way it has done. For example, generally, the gPhone should diplay red color directly to the end user, but if I want it to display some another color, such as brown, instead of real red. How can I do? I mean the device would understand that brown is red, but the end-user would see brown instead of red. Please help.

I really mean that I want to program at the lowest level architecture of android as much as it could be possible. How can I access each level and then edit some variables that migth be used to render colors dynamically? if any, please
