To get the files onto the phone:
Just plug it into your PC using the included USB cable. You should get a notification on the phone saying USB is connected - drag down the notification bar and tap the notification, it will then ask you if you want to mount - go ahead and do that. The Phone (or rather, the Micro SD card in the phone) should show up as a drive on your computer. From there, just copy video files to the phone.

As far as actually playing them, I'm no expert (never actually used the video players) but I believe the vids need to be a certain resolution (or less). That may depend on the app, I dunno.
