Are you guys ready for it?
Any opinion on it?
Maybe it means TV on the G1?

its not HDTV, its DTV... HD = high definition, D = digital... there are three different standards of "digital" television:
SDTV = standard definition
EDTV = enhanced definition (480dpi)
HDTV = high definition (1080dpi)...
just to clarify, all stations aren't moving to HD, they're moving to digital so there are varing standards and quality you will be seeing, we're not moving to pure HDTV... yet...
the converter coupons come in the form of a debit card, and its 40 dollars... if you haven't applied, apply now... it takes around a month and a half to get your coupon...
and as for opinions... i think everyone can agree that this is a step forward, if you argue otherwise... then go back to your basement and play with your commodore 64 instead of being in the real world... not only is it higher definition, but there will start being interactive capabilities that stations will start to provide...
and the g1 doesn't have a TV tuner, soooo thats not even possible... internet streaming TV is and its capable of it via orb/slingbox, but no tv directly to the phone
edit: and on the note of moving from analong to digital... does anybody know how sony came up with their VAIO name WITHOUT cheating and searching on the internet?... its obvious to nerds (look at the actual VAIO logo)
