there's a few threads in the forum on people losing there phones. tmobile's support is your best bet unless he has pintail, gps tracker or that one that turns the volume on (if its nearby atleast)
hey what is that program called?
My friend lost his G1 and he was wondering if he can track it by using the IMEI number?
Is it possible?

Software is useless if the guy who got it took the sim card out.
true, but he didn't say it was stolen (and if it was there isn't a guarentee of the sim being out) so i gave him a few options including talk to tmobile, which if there is anyway to track by imei, would have to do it.
again whats the program that forces ringer volume by text?
ForceRing?

i don't think thats it unless they took it down. searched forcering, force, ring and ringforce in the marktet no luck.
yeah its called forcering; i have it. I think the developer took it down when he started charging and people murdered him in the comments.
Yea it is called force ring. I have it installed and updated it recently. As for the phone being stolen sort of assed out I know the feeling of losing a phone lost my curve before but yea. that's why force ring is so helpful only if he had his fone on silent or low volume.
well damn then its gone, however not being able to name the app that forces ringer volume reminds me of homer simpson when he can't remember the name of the movie speed.
My daughter recently lost the Pearl that I past down to her. I called Tmo to find out if it was being used through the IMEI tracking system and I was told that they "don't have access to that tool anymore". Needless to say, I was very disappointed.
I even had RobLock installed on it and that didn't even help. I guess once a phone is gone, only luck can bring it back.
