    Default Graphic Cards


    OK guys, i have a question, when a video/graphic card says its 1 gb does that mean it needs 1 gb to run or it gives ur comp. 1 gb of ram...
    for example

    will this need 1 gb or ram or w.e to run or it gives it?

    i need to know if i also need more ram and how much more... thanks alot

    no no no. the video card has 1gig of ram enabled for the gpu.

    Are you looking to buy this card for a specific reason, like gaming or high end graphics software. If you are, I would either look to buy a card with a fan or change the the aluminum heatsinks to copper ones or better yet, replace the aluminum heatsinks with a better aftermarket fan of your own.

    i second that.

    it's a pain when the card can't cool itself. your computer will lock up and will only respond to a hard reboot.

    there are plenty of low end one's with fans available on the market, and if you need help then just ask. plenty of people here willing to help
