put in the update.zip and do it again![]()
I'm having a big problem starting the phone, it's a rooted G1 w/Cupcake1.5. There are two boot screens as everyone here knows, First is (T-mobile G1), and the second is the (Android) screen. When i start the phone it goes through the first boot screen and when it gets to the second its a black screen with the backlight on. It doesn't go from there. I downloaded a custom boot screen from a 3rd party, and installed it through (Home+End) Alt+S. I tried (Home+End)-(Camera+End), master factory reset.. and i got nothing. If I don't fix this this is a result of getting another G1 which i don't have the money for. So if anyone knows how to fix this problem, please help me out.

Google Chrome OS??
you can try reflashing 1.5 by putting it on your sdcard from a reader. or you can try wiping the phone (alt+w) by holding the home button and pressing power. are you sure your boot screen was compatible with your rom? where did you get it from? stay away from anything but xda or this site.
