nope, everyone at work is the same way, they have no idea what im talking about. the funny thing is just about all 45 employees have the same blackberry pearl (just in diff colors) God i hate that phone. all i hear from each one is how bad the phone is.
Not so much where I am. I have told a few people that I'm getting it, and they have no clue what I'm talking about. Some go look it up and then they tell me something along the lines of "Woah, that's cool..." I feel pretty confident that I will be one of the lucky few who have the G1 in my area, at least for the first few months.
Yea same here, I work at a sports bar/restaurant as a bartender and no one at work or my customers have heard of the g1, I can't wait to get it.
Yeah, I kind of do hate it when everyone has the same phone, like the razr when it first launched.
It's a good thing if people don't know about the G1 because it means you have a more unique phone and you can show it off and surprise people. More Android phones will be coming so I'm not that worried it will be like the iPhone where everyone has one.
Well, from looking at it, is there any reason that some enterprising third party can't come up with replacement backs for the phone? That would go a long way towards promoting individuality.
And the fact that we can customize not only the wallpaper but the layout of the home screen means a lot to me. I don't have to flip through 3 pages of uniform icons in a grid layout to find the one app I'm looking for.
People are still designing phones in terms of the programs you run. I think the ability to drag a contact onto the desktop is huge. I hope someone comes up with a way that we can drop a URL onto the desktop (if they haven't already).
