Default Did T-Mobile change AIM to Data?

If this is old news then I'm outta the loop. About 15 minutes or so ago I noticed that I was able to send AIM messages with my G1 (Not using IM+ but rather the AIM client that came with the phone), however not only do I not have Texts with my plan but my flex account is flat broke! Thinking this might be a fluke with 3G I threw my SIM back into my Wing and Low and behold I'm able to connect with OZ messenger and chat on AIM, Yahoo ect. I've gone back and checked if they may have changed my plan and they haven't. So, WTH is goin on, am I just lucky or has anyone else experence this also?

Ok, I just got booted from AIM and it won't let me back on. Just a fluke I guess, oh well it was fun while it lasted.

No, AIM on the G1 is, or at least was SMS.
