Best T-mobile phone at the moment?

of course, G1 is the best phone tmobile has to offer. while i will eventually get an android phone, i am still waiting for more android phones to be offered.

until then, my contract with tmobile is over and i plan on sticking with them and upgrading to get a new phone.

here are my restrictions however. it needs to be $50 or less.

which phones do you prefer? which ones have u had experience with? all input is appreciated.

my friend got a g1 several months ago and decided to give me his old phone for free (a htc dash/excalibur which someone mentioned in a post).

the initial OS win mob 6.0 was not to my liking, so the dash was flashed, blah blah blah, and installed with win mob 6.1. so far, i like it. 6.1 is definitely more aesthetically pleasing than 6.0.

i noticed many of you guys recommended to go to craigslist and give it a go. i did a quick search albeit not a very good one and found no real deals as mentioned. of course, i merely skimmed through some listings and was sure i could have haggled to get a lower price. i'll be on the lookout for better deals (it shouldn't be too hard finding sellers since i'm from chicago).

A friend of mine has a Samsung Samsung t819. It is a pretty good phone!!

I would recommend you narrow it down further to nokia or samsung.

I think their phones will have the most features and reliability, especially at that price range.

then after that its' almost just a matter of picking a style you like.

I would pick up a used smartphone.. maybe a dash or a wing or something.. Or just save up and use your new contract discount to leverage yourself one of the 2009 phones coming out.

you don't need to change your phone right now and use the upgrade.
just get some cool used phone or something

Do not get a Nokia 6133 if you have facial hair as the screen will catch on it.

Don't use your upgrade yet so u can wait for the android phones. Buy a checp phone on ebay for like 50 bucks..

and yes, it's true that i should save my renewal for a better phone. but how likely is it for tmobile to introduce a new android device anytime soon? especially one that will directly compete with the g1...
