Default AIM, Meebo, Internet etc..

Hey, i've been having some trouble with the web browser.

When i'm not using it for a while it tends to time out..

For example. I'm using Meebo right now for AIM but it keeps signing me out about ever 10 minutes or so.

are there any alternatives like Meebo that you can use to have AIM on our G1?

If not, is there any way to fix it?

Thanks in advanced.

Yeah I tried that one and it's bugged up.

My buddy list comes up when it feels like it.

My account keeps signing on and off.

And I can't see who i'm getting IM's from.

It shows it as if it's my own screen name.

So i'm looking for alternatives besides having the IMs sent to my txt messages.

I don't understand why the GTalk client doesn't just handle AIM like it does in the web-based GMail. It's ridiculous that they wouldn't keep that consistent, I don't want to pay for unlimited text messaging just so I can use a fundamentally broken IM client. Clearly they want everyone to switch get their friends using GTalk, but then they shouldn't have included AIM in GMail to begin with!

Yeah I feel the same way. To be honest with you.. I think they released this phone too soon. I'm sure they were in such a rush to get it released that they didn't pay attention to the little details that needed to be polished.

We need an update that fix's this problem. I mean if we are paying for this service monthly then they should hurry up and fix it.
