If you're rooted, why not use the app Wireless Tether for Root Users? Am I missing something here?
Hey Guys,
ok here's my problem, ive been trying to set up my G1 ready for connection to my laptop via a Ad-Hoc Wi-Fi Connection, however it never follows though properly, ive been following this guide http://modmygphone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22681 on how to set up this little hack. ive read through the guide many a time and i always seem to get the same 3 Results....
1. i install BusyBox through terminal and it pops up a huge big fat list of error relating to some Invalid device link error, and then Terminal Crashes.
2. I Successfully install Busybox (gods willing how) when my G1 deems it worthy and so i follow through to the bit where i have to edit the Wireless Lan initialization File (tiwlan.ini) And i get a error when i input vi tiwlan.ini that states "vi: Not found" which im assuming is terminal saying what the hell this command doesn't exist.
3. Now this happened once, i got all the way up to the Edit tiwlan.ini file and the file actually opened! i got all excited until i saw the contents of the file were defiantly not how they should be and could find no trace of the WiFiAdhoc = 0 line.
Please any help on this would be greatly appreciated as im stumped and can't find my way past this, thanks.

Yeah Just Find A ROM With The IP Tables Installed, Usually It Will Say Wireless Tether Works Or Something Along Those Lines. Then Download Wireless Tether For Root Users, It Works Perfectly.
