You can sync G1 with itunes Windows

It's simple.. just connect the g1, open itunes then open the sdcard in a separate window.

on itunes select the songs you want to copy and drag and drop it into your music folder in the SDcard window

that's it

What I wish you could do is get all your playlists, ratings, etc to carry over. My library is nothing without that, too much music to sift through otherwise when you've got a 16gb card.

You can accomplish this by analyzing the XML iTunes creates. I wrote a Perl script for a friend that pulled the playlists out of the XML, found the location of the music, and copied the MP3s to a given directory. I think she extended it by writing a .m3u from the iTunes playlist but I'm not positive.

I have been doing this method as well.
Its very simple, but like everyone else said..
You can not copy your playlist and such.
Which would be a GREAT app.

No, because DRM is bad.

However, Apple recently un-DRM'ed iTunes, and you can pay something like $0.30 per track to legally strip the DRM from existing tracks. Alternatively you can burn the DRMed tracks to a CD and reimport as MP3s or unprotected AACs.
