Would you eBay your G1 rooted?

Wondering if I should put my G1 on eBay and leave it rooted, or unroot?

On the one hand, I'd think there may be new people to Android who might have heard of rooting, but are tentative about trying to root their brand new phone. Perhaps the option to purchase a G1 already rooted, with over 500MB of space available for apps would be appealing.

On the other hand, newbies may shy away, not wanting to deal with a hacked/rooted/modified phone.

So... would you leave your phone rooted if you were going to sell it on eBay, and tout that as a feature, or simply restore it back to factory, and keep your mouth shut that it's ever been modified?

I've seen them on E-bay both ways. You could put your add for a rooted phone and give options of any build they want or back to bone stock, wich ever way they want it.

Have you seen them on ebay rooted? I've been checking prices, and haven't seen any that say they're rooted.

I guess giving an option would be the best way.

I've seen a couple rooted on E-bay. That is where I saw giving them an option.

you could charge a few extra buck for it being rooted . i have also seen ppl giving options on which rom they want on the phone .

Personally I wouldn't buy a hacked/rooted phone because I like that sense of its factory and its supposed to be that way. Kinda gives it that feeling of being some what new. Hacked means things have been tinkered with and is he/she selling it because they messed it up?

Then again I used to mod old school Xboxs for people so who really knows.

i would sell mine rooted, but thats just me. keep in mind that if these ppl are noobs they will want 24 hour stand-by assistance if anything goes wrong.

If I were to sell it rooted, I'd let 'em know up front that they're gonna have to seek out A/C, not ME for 24-hour babysitting

Amen, thats the problem thou. Some will expect some level of technical support since they would of got that with a factory install.

THen again if you rooted it with App2SD and nothing else then how much support could they possibly need.
